Traditional wired methods, while effective, are limited by their installation complexity and maintenance requirements. The wireless systems developed in this document provide a flexible and cost-effective solution with continuous data transmission and real-time monitoring, low susceptibility to damage, and minimal maintenance requirements since they are self-sufficient in terms of energy and wireless data transmission collected in the field. These systems provide high-resolution measurements of vibration velocity and displacement, improving the ability to detect structural problems in a timely manner. The document highlights the benefits of wireless monitoring, including reduced operating costs, improved safety and increased efficiency, making it a valuable tool for modern geotechnical applications.
