Autonomous GNSS systems based on IoT technology integrate multi-constellation receivers, embedded RTK processing, and low-power communication links into a single self-sufficient node. This paper describes the architecture, deployment methodology, and field results obtained in mining operations, achieving millimetric accuracy. Data are automatically integrated into a geotechnical monitoring platform, enabling early failure detection and timely response to critical events. Performance is compared with traditional GNSS systems, and the advantages, limitations, and future prospects of this technology are discussed as a tool specifically designed for geotechnical applications.
