To date, this process has been carried out manually, which is costly, inefficient and highly subjective in today's digitized world.This technical paper presents the Rock Mapper application, an innovative mobile application that, through Lidar technology, allows digital 3D geological mapping, improving accuracy and efficiency when performing this work. Rock Mapper can generate detailed three-dimensional models in real time, optimizing planning and reducing risks in the areas to be geologically mapped.The results obtained include 2D images, 3D Lidar scans, reports and georeferenced files, which are easily integrated into various geological modeling software. This technical paper concludes that Rock Mapper is a comprehensive solution for the digitization of geological mapping, transforming the way geologists perform their work in underground environments to be more simplified, consistent and faster.
